Donations are accepted during regular Thrift Shop hours. Please do not leave donations outdoors. And thank you very much for all the contributions we receive.
“Thrift Shop Scraps” is written by Jackie Winnie, who is well known to shoppers and one of the Thrift Shop board members.
The thrift shop keeps the prices of most clothing items very inexpensive — shirts, blouses, sweaters, pants and slacks are $2.00. Jackets are $3.00 and coats are $5.00. Cashiers have been known to give items for shoppers clearly in need. Linens, kitchen items and lamps are rarely more than $5.00. Jewelry and picture frames are priced individually. Hard cover books are $1.00 and paperbacks, puzzles and CD’s/DVD’s $0.25. Sorry no furniture.
Clothing items put on sale are removed if not sold after four weeks and racks are restocked continuously. The unsold clothing is donated to the Salvation Army and books and CD’s reused and recycled through Books.
In April and September, season ending sales are held in advance of change of seasonal clothing.
